Garbage Department - Refuse Collector
Notice is hereby given that a Garbage Collector position will be vacant and needs to be filled. This is a full-time position with an immediate opening. This position is subject to representation by the American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees (AFSCME), Local 3461. The Garbage Collector position performs heavy manual labor in the collection of residential and commercial refuse and/or recycle on designated route within the City of Perry. This position works in all types of weather and conditions on a daily basis and performs continual maintenance on vehicles and buildings. The applicant must have a Class B Commercial Driver’s License or the ability to obtain a Class B Commercial Driver’s License within sixty days.
