Projects the Maple 5 Team will be Working on in Perry
Frog Creek Stream Cleanup:
Cleaning , clearing and removal of invasive species along Frog Creek to improve water quality and restore wildlife habitat.
Housing Rehabilitation:
The Team will be partnering with Dallas County Habitat for Humanity to rehabilitate housing units through Rock the Block in August to provide safe and affordable housing.
Campground Development:
Preparing 17 acres of land for campground development to enhance recreational opportunities and attract visitors to Perry.
Indoor Batting Facility:
The Indoor Batting Facility project aims to enhance recreational opportunities for youth and residents of Perry by constructing a state-of-the-art indoor facility. This facility will provide a safe and accessible space for baseball and softball practice year-round, reducing weather-related limitations.
American Legion Hall Renovation:
The renovation of the American Legion Hall in Perry focuses on preserving and revitalizing a historic community space that serves as a hub for veterans, civic activities, and public events. This project aims to restore the hall's functionality and improve its aesthetic appeal, reinforcing its role as a vital community resource.
Trail Beautification:
The Trail Beautification project aims to enhance the aesthetics and usability of local trails in Perry, making them more inviting for residents and visitors alike. This project seeks to promote outdoor recreation, improve community health, and strengthen Perry's appeal as a destination for nature enthusiasts and families.
Others:
The projects listed encompass a diverse range of initiatives aimed at enhancing community infrastructure, amenities, and services across Perry. Each project contributes uniquely to the overall improvement and enrichment of public spaces, recreational facilities, and community outreach efforts.
