City of Perry 2026 Closures / Route Changes
Due to RAGBRAI and extra garbage pickups, there will also be NO yard waste pickup on Wednesday, July 22nd. Yard waste pickup will resume on July 29th with collection on the NORTH Side of Willis Avenue.
Perry will serve as the official Day 3 Meet‑Up Town for RAGBRAI, bringing thousands of cyclists and support vehicles through the community between 6:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Expect heavy bike traffic, slower travel times, and increased pedestrian activity—especially downtown and along designated routes.
Residents and businesses are encouraged to allow extra travel time, use caution near cyclists, keep access points clear, and follow all posted signs, detours, and instructions from event staff.
