The City of Perry, a vibrant, growing community in central Iowa, is seeking an individual to serve as the Code Enforcement Officer. This is a part time position.
Position Description:
The City of Perry is seeking a highly motivated individual to enforce the City of Perry Code of Ordinances. The idea candidate must have effective oral and written communication skills.
The Code Enforcement Officer is responsible for overseeing the administration and enforcement of the local, state, and federal codes, ordinances, and regulations related to nuisances and other applicable codes. This individual must identify nuisances, administer nuisance abatement procedures, and perform other duties as assigned.
Applicants must possess a valid driver’s license, have a good driving record, have experience in Microsoft Office Products, and have the ability to read, interpret and enforce codes and other legal documents.
Pay: $12.00/Hour Hours: 15-25 Hours/Week This is an IPERS covered position.
