The City of Perry, a vibrant, growing community in central Iowa, is seeking an individual to serve in the Maintenance IV role.
Position Description:
The City of Perry Parks and Recreation Department is seeking a highly motivated, team oriented individual to plan, organize and implement a wide variety of maintenance projects. Must have effective oral and written communication skills. The duties performed at this position include light HVAC work, carpentry, building and grounds maintenance, and janitorial work. Other duties within the Parks and Recreation Department may be assigned.
Minimum Training and Qualifications:
At least 2 years of experience in care and maintenance of facilities.
Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems.
Employee supervision experience.
Must be a High School graduate.
Must possess and maintain a valid Iowa driver’s license.
Strong work ethic.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to pass background and drug testing.
Preferred Training and Qualifications:
Plumbing
Electrical
HVAC
Basic Carpentry Skills
Technical School graduate preferred.
Herbicide and Pesticide Applicator’s License
EPA Certification
Full-Time, Non-exempt position (hourly).
Pay: $18.74/Hour
