The City of Perry is proud of our local airport facilities and excited to host the Fly Iowa 2013 airshow in partnership with the Iowa Aviation Promotion Group, Perry Airport Commission.
The purpose of Fly Iowa is to promote all aspects of Iowa aviation. As part of the Fly Iowa Event there will be numerous opportunities for the general public to learn, observe, or experience aviation at its best. Trained pilots will be showcasing their talents as part of the air show and presenting to the general public the specifics of their aircraft. The youth in the area has the opportunity to take part in a flight camp the previous weekend to learn the principles of aviation. The tentative schedule for Fly Iowa 2013; Friday (August 23, 2013)

The Iowa Aviation Promotion Group is a non-profit organization whose mission is to grow aviation by increasing the number of pilots, aviation users, and aviation supporters within the state. IAPG offers a number of programs intended to: increase awareness of the benefits of aviation, educate the public, increase the activity level of current aviation enthusiasts , increase the number of pilots and aircraft with the state, and provide opportunities for young and old to experience aviation in Iowa.
