Perry Pride Business Booster

Now is the time to Step Up and Support Local Businesses!

Businesses have experienced various levels of disruption due to the COVID-19 global pandemic and resulting Public Health Disaster Declaration. Mandated closures, adjustments to operations, and weakened consumer confidence have adversely impacted local businesses and therefore the local economy.

Now, more than ever, we must support local businesses the best we can to help ensure that they can make it through this economic disruption!

Here are just a few ways to support local businesses right now:
  • Call ahead to check availability of hours and services, such as pre-ordering, curbside pick-up, delivery, and/or shipping to minimize in-person interactions.
  • Buy a gift card or gift certificate to provide income to businesses now and for you to use later.
  • Order take-out from your favorite restaurants.
  • Shop Local with your favorite retailers - mask up and visit in-person (some require appointments), order online for curbside pick-up or local delivery (where available), or call to pre-order or make an appointment to shop.
  • As always, like, comment, and share social media posts to show your support.

Thank You for Supporting Perry Businesses with the Perry Pride Business Booster Gift Card Incentive Program!

Over the course of 10 weeks, from April to June, thousands of gift cards were purchased to 50 participating Perry businesses - keeping dollars circulating in our local economy, even when businesses were closed!

This also translated to a great deal of savings for purchasers, thanks to a grant from the City of Perry which made this program possible!

Frequently Asked Questions

Has the gift card program ended?
Yes, the Perry Pride Business Booster was originally 5 weeks, but had been extended for an additional 5 weeks, ending on June 30th. This means that gift cards are no longer available for purchase through the program.

Do the gift cards that I purchased expire?
Nope! While the purchasing portion of the program has ended, there is no expiration date for the purchased gift cards. We do recommend using them by the end of the year though - just to help your favorite Perry businesses out with their end-of-year bookkeeping!

Are refunds or exchanges available?
No, all sales are final.
Each gift certificate is non-transferable, non-refundable, and is not replaceable.

The Perry Pride Business Booster gift card incentive program was designed to benefit businesses adversely impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic and resulting Public Health Disaster Declaration by the State of Iowa. The local relief program promoted the purchase of gift cards to provide much needed cashflow to businesses that were temporarily closed or operating with restrictions, providing an incentive in the form of a discount to the purchasers.

While the Perry Chamber of Commerce facilitated the 10-week program, after the initial purchase and subsequent payout to the businesses, the Chamber is not liable for any additional tracking of transactions. It is the responsibility of the purchaser to save and/or print the gift cards from their automated receipt and to contact the business(es) for further instructions to redeem the gift cards and/or for any restrictions that may apply. Redemption polices & procedures may vary between businesses. It is the responsibility of the businesses to track redemption transactions.

I can't find my emailed receipt... can you resend it?
Sure thing! Call the Perry Chamber of Commerce at (515)465-4601 or email PerryChamber@PerryIA.org - we just need the name of purchaser and approximate date of purchase to look up your order - and we can resend your receipt.

I still have questions.
How do I contact the Perry Chamber of Commerce?
