The City of Perry, a vibrant, growing community in central Iowa, is seeking an individual to serve as the Aquatics Coordinator.
Position Description: The City of Perry Parks and Recreation Department is seeking a highly motivated individual to plan, organize and implement successful aquatic and fitness programs for the McCreary Community Building. Must have effective oral and written communication skills. This position plans, markets, promotes, develops, implements and supervises the high quality aquatic programs for all ages. Other duties within the Parks and Recreation Department may be assigned. Hours will vary, and will include evening and weekend hours.
A Four-year degree in Parks and Recreation or related fields is preferred but not required. Basic knowledge of pools, water chemistry, and programming is preferred. Required licensing within the first 6 months of hire are Certified Pool Operator (CPO), Lifeguard Certification and Lifeguard Instructor Certification.
