The Perry Chamber of Commerce hosts BRR (Bike Ride to Rippey) as an annual event. This year’s theme is “BRRing It On!” BRR will take place the first Saturday, February 7, 2008. The BRR ride is a 24-mile round trip from Perry to Rippey and back to Perry. In the past, BRR has been a frigid 37 degrees below, or plowing through a foot of snow, or even a balmy high of 60 degrees & shorts! The ride continues no matter what the weather! BRR is also known as the “Original WINTER Ride” as well as the “Winter Ragbrai Reunion.” The BRR event has attracted over 3,000 plus riders that attend from all over Iowa and the country.
Hosted by the Perry Chamber of Commerce, the event is a frozen-filled day of biking, games, prizes and entertainment. BRR Registration, the bike ride and all event activities begin and end at McCreary Community Building on 1800 Pattee Street, off of 9th Street

Perry Businesses & Historical Downtown:
. Retail stores, restaurants, and bars will be open throughout the day.
Riders may pre-register for the ride at: www.bikeiowa.com, or may call the Perry Chamber of Commerce for a registration form. The $30 pre-registration includes: commemorative t-shirt, 22nd annual BRR pin (first 300 pre-registrants), chance to win $500 in Perry Bucks, hot chocolate break, lunch, sag wagon, games, entertainment and admission to the McCreary Community Center (pool, sauna, etc.). Riders may also register the day of the ride for $35.
NOTE: We encourage all participants to register for our annual BRR fundraising event. This event sets the tone for our local Chamber of Commerce events & activities throughout the remainder of 2009. So we thank those individuals that respect the ride and our efforts to provide the best BRR ride as well as future events.
