Recreation Services Coordinator
The City of Perry is seeking a Recreation Services Coordinator to lead daily operations, financial activities, and front-desk staff at the McCreary Community Building. Under the general direction of the Assistant Recreation Director. This role balances administrative accuracy with community engagement and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities
● Finance & Admin: Manage daily bookkeeping, deposits, and financial reporting for memberships, programs, and rentals.
● Team Leadership: Recruit, onboard, train, schedule, and supervise part-time front desk staff.
● Membership & Tech: Manage customer relationships, recreation software, process individual and corporate memberships, and handle senior insurance discount tracking.
● Community Outreach: Coordinate facility rentals, manage social media channels, and draft community news briefs.
● Customer Service: Resolve patron concerns, conduct facility tours, and manage pet licensing/dog park memberships.
Qualifications
● A high school diploma and three years of experience
● Experience in administrative work, basic accounting, and record-keeping.
● Proficient in modern office software, spreadsheets, and database management.
● Proven ability to train, lead, and schedule staff.
● Excellent communication skills for interacting with the public and city staff.
● Preferred: Bilingual (English/Spanish) and familiarity with recreation/fitness center environments.
Pay Range: $24.08 to $28.90 per hour
