Just 30 miles northwest of Des Moines, our community of 7,633 residents, situated in Dallas County, is the state's fastest growing county.  Perry serves as a regional center for shopping, recreation, professional services, education, and health services. 

Perry is a walk-able community and is easily accessible.  Whether you are experiencing one of our three historical walking tours, browsing our museums, shopping our specialty stores, relishing our historical Hotel Pattee, craving our dining pleasures or perusing one of our art or antique galleries, you will delight in the comfort of our small town hospitality. 
You can also delight in the architecture that helped place Perry on the National Register of Historic Places!  Perry takes enormous pride in its history and sense of community.  We have recently been designated as a “Cultural District.”
