Parks and Recreation
   
  The City of Perry has three parks. Pattee Park, located at West 3rd Street and Willis Avenue, has three shelters, playground equipment, a skateboard park, restrooms, a band shell, tennis courts, horseshoe pits, a horse arena, a sand volleyball court and baseball/softball diamonds. Perkins/Hiawatha Park, located at West 5th Street and Dewey Avenue, has playground equipment, a practice field and a soccer field. Wiese Park, located at the McCreary Community Building, has shelters, restrooms, playground equipment, a lighted 2-mile walking/jogging trail, lighted regulation basketball court, and a gazebo.

Shelters may be reserved by calling the McCreary Community Building at 515-465-5621.

No person, except those camping in designated areas, shall enter or remain within any park between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.

Any person who wishes to camp in Pattee Park must register with the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Avenue. There is a $10 per night charge for camping at Pattee Park and there is a 5-day maximum stay. Electricity is available. A dump station is also available.

Alcoholic beverages are not to be consumed on any public property without a permitt from the Perry Park and Recreation Department , this includes all City of Perry parks.Please call the McCreary Community Center at 515-465-5621 for more information.
