Lost Pets:

Pickup Fee: $50.00
Boarding Fee: $10.00 per additional day

The pickup fee covers the first day’s boarding fee. If an owner reports an animal missing or the animal is dragging a leash or chain, the pickup fee is waived, but the $10.00 boarding fee is charged from the first day. The owner must report the missing animal to the Police Department at 515-465-4636 or to the Animal Control Center at 515-465-4092.

In addition, an owner must show proof of rabies vaccination for all dogs and cats over six months old. If proof of vaccination is not supplied, a Conditional Release form promising to supply a receipt from a Veterinarian must be completed.

Adopting Pets:

All new owners must sign an adoption agreement for the animals that they adopt.
Adoption fees are:
Cats: $65.00
Dogs: $85.00
This includes, exam, worming, rabies vaccination, spay/neuter and any other required vaccinations. Each new owner will be issued a certificate that entitles the adopted animal to receive free veterinary care and licensing with the City of Perry. Certificate is valid only at Perry Animal Clinic – 1442 J Avenue. After veterinary care, the adopted animal must be licensed at City Hall – 1102 Willis Avenue -3rd Floor.
