The Perry Recreation Department is committed to compliance with the American Disabilities Act (ADA) which prohibits discrimination on the basis of disability. The Perry Recreation Department will make every effort to make accommodations in our facility/programs to enable participation by an individual with a disability.
Fees (all fees are subject to change)
Daily Fees – Daily fees are good for the entire day. Children five years and under are free and those 8 years and under must be supervised by someone 14 years or older. Hand stamps are given when daily fees are paid.
Punch pass – Punch passes are $45 and are available to everyone. It allows an adult 10 admissions and youth or senior adult 20 visits. There is no expiration date on the passes and they will not be replaced if lost.
Groups- Groups, including churches, scouts, school and civic organizations, are invited to use the building at a reduced rate. To receive the group rate, arrangements must be made prior to your visit.
Medical Pass- Bring a written prescription from your physician or physical therapist and receive a one-month, non-renewable pass for $12.50.
Memberships – A membership to the McCreary Community Building entitles a person to the use of the facility and reduced prices on activities. New members pay a one-time $29.95 registration fee.
Membership Types
Family- Covers all members of an immediate family- max. of 2 adults, unless a full-time student.
Adult- Age 18 or over.
Adult Couple- Both over age 18 and living in the same household.
Single Parent Family- Age 18 or over and a family with only one parent.
Senior Adult- Age 62 and older.
Senior Couple- At least one spouse must be 62 or older.
Check-o-matic- New members must pay the registration fee and first month’s payment at the time of registration. Withdrawals will start coming out of your account the following month. Current check-o-matic members do not need to reapply. Written requests are required to cancel a check-o-matic contract. Once stopped by a patron, a check-o-matic membership can only be reinstated after review by Perry Recreation Department staff and payment of the $29.95 registration fee. Accounts that were stopped for insufficient funds or closed bank accounts are not eligible for reinstatement.

Payment- Payments must be included with all program registrations and membership applications. Checks should be made payable to the “City Of Perry, MCB.” For your convenience, we also accept Visa and MasterCard for purchases over $10. To FAX registrations, please call (515)465-5850. Include a contact phone number to confirm processing. Credit card information is required to process faxed registrations.
Program Refund Policy- Credit or refunds may be issued before a program’s start date. A $3 processing fee and cost of materials, supplies, and equipment will be deducted from the registration fee. Three weeks are required to process a refund request.
Late Fees- After a programs registration deadline, additional fees may apply.
General Guidelines
User Guidelines are posted in each area
· Schedules are available at the front desk showing building and pool hours. Hours will vary with the seasons.
· Members are required to show their membership card at the front desk to be scanned each time they enter the facility. If a patron forgets their card, a 25-cent fee will be charged to verify membership. After forgetting their membership card three times, members will need to purchase a replacement card for $4.
· Children, ages 7 and younger, are required to be supervised by someone 14 years and older. Youth must be at least 8 years old to use the facility alone.
· Food/drink may not be brought into the building unless renting a room. Only food/drinks purchased at the recreation center are allowed in the front lobby. The food and drinks must be eaten at the tables in the lobby.
· A membership card, I.D., or deposit is required to check out equipment.
· Skates, scooters and skateboards are not allowed in the building.
· Running is only allowed in the gym.
· Drugs, alcohol, tobacco, gambling, and weapons are not allowed in the center.
· Gum is not allowed in the recreation center.
· Renting lockers is strongly recommended. The Recreation Center is not responsible for lost or stolen articles.
· You must pay for lockers and check out keys at the Front Desk.
· You must give your name, address and phone number when checking out a locker key.
· In case of a tornado warning, all patrons should go to the locker rooms.
· Please be courteous to others. Foul language, fighting or abusive behavior will not be tolerated.
· The recreation center provides a courtesy phone for quick calls for a ride home. There is a pay phone (35 cents for local calls) at the entrance for personal calls. Change is available at the front desk. A person can be paged and given a message within reason.
